I’ve been so excited. A number of times I though Pascal has muttered Hello to me. Last night, he said it twice!!! It’s still a little garbled, but it was clear enough that we knew what he was saying. It could have been just Dave picking on me, but Dave has acted like he kind of did not believe that I heard it over the past couple of weeks. So, last night after Michael went to bed, I was talking to Pascal and he said hello. I turned to Dave and asked if he heard it. He looked up from his magazine and said no. Then, Pascal immediately said it again! I was so happy. I think he’s a little ahead of schedule on talking. He’ll be six months old on Monday. The Timnehs usually start around six months and the Congos around 12 months. I wasn’t sure where he’d fall in since he’s a Timgo.
Other than that, I guess there’s nothing new to report. We’re still having a lot of fun with him. He is out whenever we’re home. He’s started acting disappointed on work days when he has to stay in his cage. Maybe I’m making it harder on him by letting him out on the weekend mornings instead of sticking to the same routine every day. From what I read, Greys tend to like a strict routine. Oh well, he’s going to have to be a little flexible or else he’s going to miss out on more out of cage time.
